Freeride ticket info - https://xdl.vbotickets.com/registrat..._freeride/2183

The Freeride area is separate from the XDL comp area.. so freeriding can be done all day long.
a local motocross rider was selling his 230f and I got it for $1300 with the intention of learning to stunt on it. Done a few wheelies in the backyard of my house but not sure if I should take it in lots with knobby wheels.

The bike takes a while to warm up, it's geared down -2 in the back, not sure about the front, for racing, the throttle sticks awful, the electric starter was taken off and a custom button thing the guy made was put on to replace it.

I feel like it's not exactly the safest thing to learn stunting on but ah well, I got some good gear. I'll put up some pics soon maybe, but I guess I was just starting this post to get some tips. Anything about the 230f I should know about maybe, and tips for learning on a db. I want to move up to a big sportbike when I get the $$$ for it, but the look of the sumo is growing on me a lot. Too bad the price tag for those is usually higher

We all used to make the trek to stuntwars to throw it down.

Ill never forget the first time I made it to stuntwars and just got to smash with everyone. Sure the competition was cool but the session is what made it for me. In my eyes the sessions help drive the sport as much as the competitions do. Basically they go hand in hand. Not gonna lie it doesn't happen anymore as much as wish it did. For the majority of the XDLs if your not competiting your watching. There isn't really a huge form of being able to ride with the countries "pros" anymore.

I guess what Im getting at is Im trying to do what I can to bring it back. XDL Round 4 in my hometown of Albuquerque is going down at the end of the month. The event will be at our local track which is pretty good size. Plenty of room to go nuts on. There will be freeride all day thursday-Saturday. Aside from the freeride there will be all sorts of other shit going on. From the first ever "official" drift comp to legit wheelie races, the whole nine. Hook ups at the track for RVs and 5th wheels. You can sign up through the XDL site. NM is damn near right in the middle of the country so its the chance for CO, AZ, and TX riders to come out that normally don't make it out. I guess Id just like to throw it down with everyone so if you can make it out Id say do it. I have some ideas for possible videos and stuff too so this could be epic. If you have any questions hit me up.

| 03-04 Eating Rectifiers |

Anyone have an 03-04 that eats rectifiers? I have had this bike about a year now and this is the second one ive fried... looks like it gets so hot at the connection to the harness it melts the internals of the connector...

Seems that the final straw in them is when I go ride streets and out on the highway at 9k in 6th gear....

Stick to the lots and never a problem... hit the street and boom.. another one gone after a week or so of street duty... (think its my bikes way of saying stay off the streets...)

Running a headlight, LED taillight and 1 r6 fan that is on 24/7
