....in the hands of someone skilled, the ar-15 could be a very effective home defense weapon. Chances are the hard truth is; if you are asking this question, your skill level may need some work to catch up with your eagerness.

my two cents: Go to the range, attend an assault rifle course at Front Sight school or something like that, research this topic, shoot it some more, and soon (thousands of spent rounds later...) your skills and knowledge will catch up to your eagerness.

OR.... relax, buy yourself a dog, and just shoot the fucker (the weapon, not the dog! lol) and have fun!

My dad just bought " The Judge" and it has a surprising tight group out to about 20 yards. Would for sure be a good gun to have in the house to protect. Plus it doesnt kick like a mule like we thought it would
