Protective shoe/ankle advice?

I'm kinda paranoid about foot and ankle protection. I know a lot of people just wear skate shoes, and some of the lucky girls are able to fit into the super nice shift fuel shoes (VERY jealous) I have tiny kid feet, I have to buy the kids shoes, like size 4! Or women's 5.5 maybe a 6 depending on what brand. Any suggestions for something that is not a heavy treaded boot with lots of laces for ankle protection and support?

2 wheel tuner magazine closes. Ceases print copies

its official, 2 Wheel Tuner Magazine is done. While not completely out of business, it has ceased the print side of its business and has shifted all efforts into the online entity www.sportbikeclub.com

2WT magazine was known to provide coverage of custom sportbikes, performance parts, drag racing and stuntriding. It held a large urban contingency, probably due to its contributing editors Superbikes TV show host, Jason Britton and Acclaimed Kawasaki Drag Racer, Rickey Gadson. While two wheel tuner was know to have some shotty coverage of stuntriding, it was still coverage.

Check out the discussion here, started by pro rider Dan Jackson – http://stuntride.com/vbstunt/showthread.php?t=15936

We here at Stuntride hate to see 2 Wheel Tuner magazine go, but we did notice in our research prior to launching Stuntride Magazine that the old newsstand model for selling magazines was broken and that you must have a core foundation and keep costs to a minimum to help a print publication survive. This is one of the main reasons we are not printed monthly. We could do monthly issues, but that would only last about 1 year until we ran ourselves dry and closed our doors like 2 wheel tuner has.

Keep the Faith! Stuntride is here to stay. We have strived from day one to keep you core fans satisfied and also slowly mature into a publication that the mainstream can pick up and appreciate. Between our print editions, our online forums, Stuntride TV, our exclusive online content of rider bios, trick names, parts, product reviews and partnerships with other great companies and bloggers, we guarantee that Stuntride will be the #1 destination for fans of Sportbike Freestyle for years to come!

We have a deal for subscribers of 2 wheel tuner. Subscribe to 1 year of Stuntride Magazine and send us a picture of your name and address on a subscriber label to a recent copy of 2wt and we will give you 1 free year of Stuntride Magazine – thats 2 years for the price of 1 to all subscribers of 2 wheel tuner magazine. So even though there is no more 2 wheel tuner, you fans can still get a great deal from us!

The Stuntride Magazine subscription page is here – http://stuntride.com/stuntride-magazine/

Stuntriding at the X Games

Ok so at this very moment we can neither confirm nor deny the wild rumors that some of the worlds best XDL Motorcycle Stunt riders have been invited to ride in some fashion at X Games 16 in Los Angeles at the LA Coliseum. While we do know that Streetbike Stuntriders have considered riding at the X Games a somewhat unobtainable goal over the past 10-12 years of organized competitions. The XDL Series has helped to elevate the level of professionalism of Sportbike Freestyle Athletes and the competitions that they ride in. Our fingers are crossed, we hear that there are last minute discussions going on with management on both sides.

We understand that it is still undecided, but with X Games 16 being only 1 month away, we wanted to remind you all (and maybe some new fans) exactly what stuntriding has going for it.

Standardized TV ready competition formats.

Athletes from all walks of life with very different personalities that appeal to different people.

Experience riding at large action sports and other venues – Supercross, Vans Warped Tour, Monster Jam, WSBK, Moto GP etc.

Acceptance from core Action Sports fans and the ability to draw in new non-traditional X-Games fans.

Support from major mainstream companies that would love to see their athletes on the X Games Stage: Red Bull, Kawasaki, BMW, Aprilia, Monster Energy, Yamaha, Warrior Wear, Alpinestars, Geico, Shift, ICON/Parts Unlimited, Joe Rocket, Dunlop, Famous Stars and Straps, Speed and Strength. K&N Filters, Arai, Scorpion and many more.

No backflip?? how about 160 db rev-limiters and smokey burnouts?? No handed Wheelies, Crazy high flying acrobatics, Drifting and Sick, Sick wrecks!!!

here is a fun little clip of some of the guys as they visited X-Games 15 and caused a little chaos.. “What’s the point of going through life and never breaking any rules?” as was said by an unnamed rider “We don’t want to make anyone’s jobs harder, we just want to ride our bikes, tear some shit up and put on one helluva show!”

Hit up the people at X-Games on Twitter or Facebook and ask them what they think.. www.twitter.com/xgames – http://www.facebook.com/XGames
