  bleeding dual caliper brembo
Posted by: jeremyRockit - 01-08-2011, 05:35 PM - Forum: Help and How To - Replies (5)

alright so ive ran through about 4 bottles of brake fluid trying to bleed the brakes on my 636, i cant get Mike C to respond to tell me if the calipers are bad or anything so i seek further help. i have an air bleeder and have bled the master and have been working on bleeding the caliper but im hardly getting any response out of the lever and no more bubbles are coming through the air bleeder. i have the master flipped right side up and im going to buy more fluid, is this normal to go through 5 bottles of this stuff to get the air out of an 80&quot; line? any other recommendations?

  another 636 fork swap thread
Posted by: kawaslut - 01-05-2011, 08:36 PM - Forum: Help and How To - Replies (2)

I got some 08 forks/triples and threw them on my 04, the issue I ran into is that the 07-08 stem is shorter than the 03-04.. not quite sure how much as I didn't measure it. Had to subtract a locknut because there's not enough thread due to it being shorter. Anyways my question is should I have my 04 stem pressed into the new lower triple so I can use the newer top triple or is it safe to leave it as is. I figure as long as I have the locknut and top triple bolt tight then there shouldn't be an issue <img src="images/legacy/smilies/shruggs.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Shruggs" class="inlineimg" />
