Galfer lines where to buy?
Posted by: JohnnyP - 04-14-2012, 10:20 PM - Forum: Quads / Dirtbikes / Motard / Trials - Replies (13)

Does anyone know of a good shop that can order lines from Galfer for me?

All the catalogs only have regular silver lines, but I wan to order some custom ones...They offer different color lines and fittings built to order, but I cant find an online store to order them from...

So if anyone knows of or works at a shop that can get what I want, please let me know...

most seem to hate f4is these days, but i loved mine...look at the avatar to see where the start was, and here's the finished product. my 2011 TANK. steel subframe handbuilt by me, same with all the paint work. TOP NOTCH fully setup.

time for something lighter, more powerful and better handling. so, i ran into the guy who originally swapped a decent truck and his f4i for this...

i bought it with a clean TX title for a few bills, and was flipped end over end and trashed, but this was the finished product after a year of my slow tickering....and i end up with it again on a swap deal.

wasn't sure if i would like an 03 600rr since i heard nothing but horror stories and had zero time on it.

FTI 4 piston adapter for HB with F4i caliper
hohey dual single caliper bracket (this will be a BR kit very soon once i get it on the way and will go on my 06 swingarm)
brembo RCS 15mm (surgically precise, compared to my old 16x18 which was great)
woodcraft clipons with 1.5" rise for FF madness.
i have a 62t on the rear for now, but will go smaller for some street/lot
RSC long lever with bushing
brembo mini reservoirs
sub cage looked like an OMR and was listed for an 05, but i fabbed it to fit how i wanted (cut, chop, fit, weld)
impaktech cage if the dooby would ever get it here
seats are being upholstered/embroidered as we speak by a local guy
scotts damper bought used and sent off to be serviced

636 - PROJECT 03/04 gas tank on a 05/06
Posted by: Petarded - 04-13-2012, 12:56 PM - Forum: Projects and Builds - Replies (18)

Started this new thread for organization purposes between the head swap and the gas tank swap.

Came up with this idea from balancetheory's "05-06 head on a 03-04 636" thread... http://stuntride.com/vbstunt/showthr...87#post1284587

IF... the above is true ... the airbox and throttle bodies from the 03/04 also fits 05/06 head.
THEN ... the 03/04 gas tank could possibly then fit the 05/06 because the main holdup is the bulky 05/06 airbox.

Did some R&D at twites on this yesterday. We tried this almost a year back, but did not know that the head was the same therefore allowing the airbox/throttle bodies to be mounted up.

So far I have determined to do the 03/04 tank on the 05/06 you need...
03/04 throttle bodies, airbox, tank, mod to tank mount, and slight mods to harness.

This is what I've figured out...

In order for this to work you need the 03/04 throttle bodies on to the 05/06 head. (The 05/06 bodies are obviously oval shaped at the top so the 03/04 box will not fit.

The throttle bodies are almost exactly the same (aside from the top shape... i imagine you could swap just about everything back and forth) The 03/04 fuel rail is different and the injectors harness on the 03/04 comes to one molex plug... whereas the 05/06 does not have a molex and just comes from the harness (so you just unplug the 03/04 molex and injector plugs then toss it to the side and plug in the 05/06 ones)

CATCH ... Not certain if it is necessary to swap the fuel rail on the throttle bodies to mount the 05/06 line to the second set of injectors and custom fit them to the 03/04 airbox. First I'll try quickly extending the fuel plug to the 03/04 pump (the one from the 05/06 is far too short to hook up to the 03/04) then see how she runs just with that single rail. I'll see how that runs first and if no dice then the 05/06 throttle body fuel rail and airbox injectors would need to be custom fitted to the 03/04 airbox and throttle body.

Ok so now to the 03/04 tank (I used one of twites old tanks) ... it is shorter and imo it looked silly scooted back to the 05/06 seat mount because the front part was all open (I should have taken a pic of it) Either way the bracket to the 03/04 mount will need to be cut/modified and a custom bracket will need to be made for the tank to mount properly one way or another.

The pics below are with the 03/04 tank lined up with top the 05/06 mounting point.

Tank will drop a bit once the mount is cut and a bracket will need to be made to the stock mount.

The seat was SO close to fitting even with the tank like this... BUT once the mount on the back of the tank is cut it should drop and the seat will fit perfect!

For now I'm just going to mount my non dented tank after everything is painted so I can ride... but I'll be working on this tank project within the next few weeks.

And just to plug SMD and Aaron Twite's work... Here is my new 05/06 Full fairing SMD/Twite frame that is going out for paint this weekend.
rekluse and TR 310 BB kit. Advantages and disadvantages for lot stunting
Posted by: stunting711 - 04-13-2012, 09:14 AM - Forum: Quads / Dirtbikes / Motard / Trials - Replies (4)

In your guys honest opinion, would the 280 BB kit be better than the 310 kit for lot stunting or is the 310 better? I'm debating on getting a BB kit but didnt want to ruin my lot stunting so before i pull the trigger i was just wondering if more power is better. I put a 88 BB kit on my 50 and hated it. Rear brake didnt work with all that power after a while.

One last question, any one using the rekluse clutch on there motard? What is the goods and bads of having it when it comes to lot stunts?

Thanks guys appreciate it

so guys, first thing that goes tru your heads must be steal.. thief.. blabla..
but when i search for info everybody talk like the know how it works, and say that you want to steal a bike or you already did.. i only want to dump my ignitionswitch and use a simple switch..

so does anybody knows the way to fake the tranponder key?
i can tape it on my ecu, but there must be easyer ways.. anybody?
thanks guys!
