I'm making this thread to put all of my creations into one spot as I plan on there being many of them!<br />

After a year of riding dirtbikes, I decided a few months ago that I wanted a street bike because they're awesome... I also wanted to get into freestyle, so I started looking for a 636, which I heard were the ticked for stunting. I saw a pretty good deal on a '06 locally that was pretty crunchy, had been wrecked and had a rebuilt title. I brought it home not knowing anything about street bikes. It started in the guy's garage so...? Then I stared at it for a month while I waited for weather nice enough to ride in. I started hanging out on stunting websites - like here and soon found out I should have gotten an F4i or an 03 04<img src="images/legacy/smilies/LolLolLolLol.gif" border="0" alt="" title="LOL" class="inlineimg" /> D'Oh! well, so one is selling those around here so I gotta make due with what I have, right? So here she was, as I brought her home...<br />

Trying to figure out why my lights aren't working! This was also about the time I discovered the steel frame thread on this site. So I start taking parts off the bike and before you know it the whole thing was in pieces! Then I get the craziest idea yet... What if I make myself a full steel frame?<br />

Hopefully I will be able to finish assembly tomorrow. My primary goal is to get it rideable so I can get a little seat time before I start stunting. I have lots of other projects for this bike planned, too. Next will probably be a cage so I can start clutching it up, then a subframe. Once I get good at FB, I'll also probably be making a rear brake bracket. Somewhere along those lines, I'd also like to make a steel swingarm but that's low on the list because it would be just for cool factor. I've also been toying with the idea of rearset/pegs and passenger pegs...<br />

Oh yes, the science is far from complete, stay tuned for more metal madness!

here is a quick step to step since there seems to be no info on how to actually do a SF conversion. this is how i did it, im sure people have dif ways of doing things. i will neaten up the write-up soon but for now this is what i got<br />
(all in all took me about 2 hours and another 2 on the headlight. i like to work slow)<br />
<br />
- remove the bolts to all fairings starting with the sides, then bottom, then front cowl(or 90% zip ties in my case haha).<br />
- the two bolts under the speedo need to be removed to have the front cowl come off<br />
- unplug sub harness(two big clips on the left side) so the wires come off with the front cowl.<br />
- cut the wires to headlights)since i knew i was going to be buying a headlight anyway and they would have to be cut sooner or later. i just marked one light with tape so i knew which was high beam and which was low.<br />
- take mirrors off to get cluster to drop off the fairing, makes it easier to unplug the wires going to the cluster<br />
- two bolts under the back of the seat need to be removed then the seat slides off. you need to peel up the back corners of the seat to get to them<br />
- once the seat is off theres 4 bolts on the tank cover fairing. two in the front, two in the back. after these there are two pop in clips on the side where them plastic covers clip onto it. they pull right out. you dont have to remove the gas tank cap to do all this( i did and it was more work then needed)<br />
- my bas was already jumped, so that saved me some time, but thats as simple as running a wire to connect the two outside wires. theres a writeup on here<br />
- hooked up acerbis headlight and had my father help me wire it in, we wired it so the lights shut off when you turn the low beam on, and the lights come on when you turn on the high beam. just twist all 3 power wires togeather and all 3 ground wires togeather on the headlight this way you only have two wires.<br />
- so now i have no front blinkers or cluster, but i want my back blinkers to work atleast, well the blinker relay is INSIDE the cluster, so with no cluster, it wont work unless you order this <br />

On the ground and screaming that he was &quot;sorry,&quot; a shirtless Kelly Thomas is shown being hit again and again with fists, a baton and finally the butt of a stun gun by Fullerton police officers in a dramatic video that was shown for the first time Monday in an Orange County courtroom.<br />
<br />
The grainy black and white video of Thomas' violent encounter with police outside a bus depot is the centerpiece of the prosecutions' case against two officers accused of escalating a standard police encounter with a homeless man into a fatal beating.<br />
<br />
At one point, Thomas � a 37-year-old mentally ill homeless man who was a familiar face in the city's downtown � screams out: &quot;Dad, they are killing me!&quot;<br />

The video and the sound of fists and a baton striking Thomas were so graphic that several spectators left the courtroom and the judge paused the video at one point after some people in the audience began to groan. He cautioned that those who couldn't stomach the video should leave.<br />
<br />
The case has rocked the north Orange County city, where scores of people have protested, staged memorials and even held a recent public birthday celebration for Thomas. During a press conference in announcing the charges, Orange County Dist. Atty Tony Rackauckas was brought to tears while discussing the case.<br />
<br />
Two officers, Manuel Ramos and Jay Cicinelli, are charged in Kelly's death. Both have pleaded not guilty.<br />
<br />
Ramos, 38 is charged with second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter while Cicinelli, 40, is charged with involuntary manslaughter and excessive force in connection with the July 5 beating of Thomas, who died five days later. If convicted, Ramos faces a potential life sentence; Cicinelli could get four years in prison<br />

The video, shot by a security camera at the bus depot, initially captures Thomas being detained by Ramos and Officer Joseph Wolfe. Thomas is uncooperative and Ramos appears to grow angry.<br />

&quot;They're getting ready to f� you up,&quot; Ramos says while sliding on a pair of latex gloves. The statements and the menacing acting of putting on the gloves, Rackauckas said the preliminary hearing, set the deadly encounter into motion.<br />

Thomas can be heard repeatedly saying &quot;sorry&quot; as Ramos and Wolfe strike him, instructing him to put his hands behind his back. &quot;I am sorry, dude, I can't breathe, dude,&quot; he says at one point.<br />

One of the two officers can be seen kneeing Thomas at least once, though some of the activity is obscured by a tree.<br />

&quot;I cannot breathe, man,&quot; Thomas says at another point as Wolfe tells him to relax.<br />

When Cicinelli arrives and tells Thomas to stop resisting, the audio captures the sound of a Taser stun gun clicking rapidly as the homeless man growls in pain, his legs seeming to twitch.<br />

At one point, it appears that Cicinelli raises his arm and smacks Thomas in the face or head with the butt of the Taser.<br />

Cicinelli later says, &quot;we ran out of options so I got the end of my Taser and I probably � I just smashed his face to hell. He's on something, dude.... Three of us couldn't even control him.&quot;<br />

By the time the confrontation ends, Thomas is lying in a pool of blood. Officers then examine their own wounds as they stand near Thomas, who is handcuffed and on the ground. &quot;You are covered in blood, dude,&quot; one officer can be heard saying to Ramos, who claimed Thomas bit him on the leg.<br />

Cicinelli adds: &quot;He is the one you're gonna need to look at.&quot;<br />

Thomas suffered brain injuries, a shattered nose, a smashed cheekbone, <a href="http://www.latimes.com/topic/health/injuries-wounds/fractured-rib-HEINW000015.topic" target="_blank">broken ribs</a> and internal bleeding, according to authorities. But he died of &quot;mechanical compression of the thorax&quot; � his windpipe was crushed.<br />

But attorneys for the two officers sought to portray his medical treatment as the reason for Thomas' death rather than the officers' actions.<br />

John Barnett, Michael Ramos' attorney, asked the fire captain and a trauma surgical chief about whether the initial doctors atSt. Jude MedicalCenter in Fullerton struggled to insert a tube and clear an airway for him.<br />
<br />
&quot;The cause of death might be the treatment he got the hospital?&quot; Barnett asked UC Irvine surgical trauma chief Michael Lekawa, seeking to persuade a judge to dismiss a murder and manslaughter charge against his client.<br />

Lekawa acknowledged that he was concerned about medical error until he saw the medical reports and video of the incident.<br />

Thomas' father, Ron Thomas, said the hardest part of the video and audio &quot;is the sounds of my son calling out.&quot;
