i just got my si cage for the 929 and it came with no instructions. there are 3 different size bolts, a collar and a all thread. I tried to mount it up last night and noticed the all thread that i think goes through the back motor mount is a smaller size. since that seems to be a "load bearing bolt" I don't really want to put on a weaker smaller bolt.. anyone else have this problem. a copy of instructions? anything helps? thanks.

the all thread they gave me is what i used. I have never heard of anyone swapping it out for a stronger one. Doesnt the bar kind of fit into a notch at that mount? That should take the impact more than the allthread right? Im not sure how different your 929 is from my f4i.

I just talked to Ian at si. NIce guy btw. the all thread goes in the back motormount, the 1 1/2" bolt connects the cage together and the long bolt goes on the left side I think. Now I just need a hole saw to drill the fairings.. good looking cage too. not like some of the other flimsy ones.

yeah I noticed after my post that this thread is old and that you already might have the cage on the bike, glad you like it, Ian makes great cages, I dont think Ill ever buy something else again.
Thanks for comment about my bike!
