Hey guys,
I used the search engine and couldnt find any threads on this... I know how much you all love when people dont search!
ANYWAY, point of this thread...
How much money have you spent on your stunt bikes? I'm just curious, because this really isnt a cheap sport. As for me, literally just getting into it.. I have spent a total of $600 on parts, and $3300 on my bike. So as of right now $3900, but I am not nearly done.
How much did you pay for your bikes all together? I know this thread is going to make a few of you shed a couple tears when you think of the nice house you could have bought

Let's see. I got my bike for about $2200. '06 636 with a rebuilt title and some crunchy parts, but sound.
About $200 in materials to build my steel frame, $50-75 for the cage, $90 ish for the subframe/ roundbar. Maybe $30 to redo the rear seat. I think I spent somewhere around $300 for the handbrake master, lines, and reservoirs. $60 for a set of front calipers that I used one for the handbrake. $30 for the big rotor off ebay. I'd say around $100 for all the aluminum I've carved up for the top triple, rotor adapter, and brake bracket. $120 ish IIRC for a new chain and sprocket set... $120 for the headlight. That's all I can remember off the top of my head...
That's about $3400 probably closer to $3600 with all the little stuff I'm forgetting. that I've spent on my baby this year. Ain't that bad at all I think. It ain't the purdiest bike out there, but it's a solid stunt machine, at least for my skill level. If you trade the months of effort I've put into building all of my parts, you end up saving a pretty big chunk of change.

I feel like instead of stunting out my 636, I should have sold it, and bought a stunt bike separately =/
EDIT-
Who am I kidding, I love my 636 too much to sell her.

$600 in stunt parts isn't going to get you much unless you get it all used. you can buy a good already stunted bike but you have to be careful you get what you pay for. my first stunt bike i bought for $4000 mint, put $1500 in stunt parts on it so around $5500 total and sold it for $3200. My current bike I bought for $3200 already stunted but i didn't like most of the parts so i upgraded and probably have another $1200 in new upgraded stunt parts on it so i have aobut $4400 into it.

If you're worried about spending money Stunting aint your thing haha. Something will always break eventually so the spending never ends.

I'm not worried about it at all. Im just curious to see what people have spent. The only thing I "regret" is not buying a lot bike separately from the 636. No looking back though, only forward! I've ridden dirt for years and years, SOMETHING ALWAYS BREAKS im used to it =)
