\r\n \r\n Think it would be fantastic to host some sort of world cup/olympics style comp in a different area every 2 years where riders from all around the world both pro and amateur could compete. If we as comp organizers help each other it would pay off in the long run.
\n \nAt the moment its very hard for Euro riders to get sponsored and make a credible living from the sport. As regards sponsors, local companies are\'nt making enough money and can only sponsor product and international companies can only sponsor so many riders. Theres no money to be made doing shows anymore and there is zero TV coverage for stunting in Europe. If you look at the main Euro comps its travel that\'s the main expense with ferries and vast travel etc. The amount of talented Euro riders that would love to go to XDL but logistacilly and financially its just not viable. \n \nFrom an organizers point of view, I try my best to make my comps as big as possible but have to find the divide between amateurs having a fare chance of the whip and the fans not getting bored of the same people winning, but without the help of the bigger riders, I would\'nt have had such a successful season. But then again without the constant support off our newcomers and their dedication and love of the sport there be no series. \n \nOnly 12 riders showed up to the Vertical Trix International comp in the UK last weekend (30 entered) and that had one of the biggest prize purses, and their was only 6 pro riders. \n \nOrganizers need to get together and work out a universal points system and have that as the standard points system world wide in my opinion, the difference in the points systems in major comps worldwide is vast and can be confusing for riders ![]() \n \nWe base our points system on xdl as its by far the best and easiest to use btw. \n \nSorry if I\'m after going off on a tangent. \n \nMarkie \r\n
