i found a awesome deal on a 2006 gsxr 1000 and the bike has a total loss claim on it due to broken fairings. I was wanting to cop it, make it road worthy with a CLEAN TITLE..flip it and buy the stunter i really want..
now how to do that is the question. Is it possible through the dmv or no?
thanks guys

depends on the state, to make a NJ salvage title bike road legal again you must have receipts for parts bought and get it inspected. It has to be street legal and if it passes it gets a rebuilt title. I also believe some states like florida have a COD where it can never be put back on the road again not 100% though.

in Louisiana it's the same as sikgix explained. receipts, a tough inspection, then a rebuilt title. it's a real bitch to get done.

well heres why i think its worth it...im tradin my 94 honda civic with 200k miles STR8 up for it...guy has back issues and cant ride anymore. i paid close to nuttin for this honda so id be gettin a 5k+ bike when its all said and done for like 1k in hind sight. i pretty much want it to look as close to a real title when i re-sell cause a total loss claim title might scare ppl away

how much cost in damages does it have and how fast til you can have it completely repaired? think about these things. i've tried flipping a bike and it took more money and time than expected and wasn't worth the headache.
