how do YOU clean your guns?

just curious if anyone would like to give some pointers?
i shoot a lot and after every trip i clean my guns but i want to know if im doing it right because im just pretty much guessing.
reason im asking is im wondering if im missing something because my Remington for the first time jammed on me the other day and im not sure if it could be im not cleaning properly

I just disassemble every moving part and wipe them down oil and re assemble. I don't own any rifles though so can't help you on the jamming up

yeah thats what ive been doing. i do have some big wire brushes that came with the kits but they seem like they might scratch up the bore and stuff so i never used them. i was told that as long as i oil up and wipe down everything it would prevent build up.

Too much oil will cause a lot of guns to malfunction as well.

I'm anal about it, I completely disassemble, scrub parts with nylon brush and cleaner, run a brass brush through the barrel and then run a swab or patches through the barrel. Finally just a drop of oil on the parts that really need it. Finish by wiping the whole thing down with an cloth impregnated with protectant.

I just use old socks, soft tooth brush and gun oil.

with my ar, i just disassemble it and wipe it down. any of the trigger parts i oil, any of the moving bolt parts i grease. when i bought it it was jamming at least 3 times a mag. after cleaning i havent had a jam yet and i have
put a few cases through it.
