All the 636 pro's (OMR this means you Lol). Whats your opinion on a cam chain tensioner possibly causing a bog ?
I noticed a noise from my motor after installing a quieter exhaust. So I had a mechanic friend look at it and he said he thinks the noise is the cct. Im ordering and a new one but in the meantime was wondering if this could be causing a bog issue that my bike has always had.
Thanks in advance for any input

Cool thanks alot.
So you don't think its to likely that its causing a bog huh ?
Seems like its always had a bit of a low end power issue. I've tried the ethanol treatment and a couple different exhausts (even ran with no exhaust for a day) and no luck. You think it could be the throttle body sync everyone always suggests ?

stock exhaust will give you the best low end and syncing the throttle bodies can never be a bad thing but i have seen a few people with 636's with no low end and no one has really come up with a good reason why , i know thats not a great answer but

Yea I would say probably the exhaust for the bog, mine has a hole in the back of it from the banjo bolt on my rear caliper slamming down a few stoppies and it doesnt run a good as it did before the hole. Lol
Definatly a ape cct tho... kt750 is the part number

My motor only had 4k on it when I started a few months ago with this bike, the cct was fine then loud as hell in 1 session. I put an ape in and its like a new bike, def can cause some power loss issues

i think what breaks them is going from hard engine braking to hard acceleration or visa virsa i cant remember which , either way one makes the chain go slack on the cct side which allows the automatic adjuster to adjust
