go pro settings

Just got my go pro in today and im reading the directions about the settings.... what is everybody using... the 960p tallest hd video or the 1080p full hd highest resolution?

and can someone explain what the difference is this stuff confuses me i just want to shoot good videos and pictures lol

Im pretty sure, if you set it to use 60 frames per second at 720p. it records better then at 1080 an i think at 30 frames ps. I could be wrong but that's just what I've read.

Ill see if I can find a video to show what I mean.

To simplify that...
r2 for 720p(youtube stuff)
r5 for 1080p
r3 for slow motion stuff...

I never use this one. I guess it works for some helmet shots but doesn't blend all that well when mixing footage with other camera's

thanks ross but what is better to shoot in 1080 or 720? if i do it in 1080 for better quality, is it easy to convert to 720 to be able to upload to youtube? or vimeo?

30fps for regular filming 60fps for slowmo stuff

Usually when filming you'll know how you plan on using the footage. If your mixing with DSLR footage or a nice shooter the 1080 will work great and worth killing the extra storage.

I usually keep it on 720 cause you can fit more on a card. I run a 32gig card in mine especially for timelapse and streetride stuff, just let it roll.
