I know exactly what you mean. I considered it. There's a few things I could do to make it stronger, but I'm trying to stay minimalistic.

This is kind of an experiment. It's really light right now and if I don't have to over-build it I don't want to.

i hear ya and i started the same way but every time the first bend hit the ground really hard like a pancake or some thing like that it moved in so i added the extra piece ..

i also did some thing a little different, to keep all the force from being put on the all thread instead of making the mount at the swing arm bolt just a flat piece i made it a 90* so it not only sat flat on the frame but it also sat against the side too ..

Indeed...and there's a chance I may have to do the same.

I've also considered taking pieces of round tubing who's inside diameter matches the outside diameter of the frame mounts, placing them so they "cup" the frame mounts and distribute force over a larger surface area. Kind of hard to explain...

yup i know what ya mean , i see the all thread breaking on alot of cages that use the swing arm bolt so any thing you can do to redistribute the force will help , dont usually see any problems on the motor mount bolts

I've never had trouble with the bolts or all thread breaking. I check it often and tighten when necessary.
My concern is the cage folding up.
