Pain indeed. The middle piece bolts to the frame. The cage bolts to the middle piece. HOPEFULLY the stress to the engine mounts is reduced.
Also hoping the triangulation distributes some force front and rear so the frame doesn't get hammered.

in order to reduce stress a little more again, is there no way to make a crossbar between the 2 front mounts?
i see they don't "face" each other but maybe a bent tube might be a good help, looks like you got plenty of room to do it!

There is a cross brace tucked up near the headers. Only place for it. The radiator and fan are really tight in there, so not much space.
