im rocking the same 636 motor/frame(stock) for well over a year without tranny or overheating issues...im not sayin it dont happen but if you maintain your bike and set it up properly(2nd r6 fan,dont put it in gear at 3k,etc.) it will last...i believe 90% of 636/zx6rr motors that have tranny/overheating issues have been rode hard and put away wet and been overheated in the lot like a shopping kart and tossed into gear on high idle a million times ON TOP of all the OTHER abuse we throw at them...i could be wrong but i dont think so seeing as myself and 3 other local guys run the same setup and treat our bikes with similiar TLC and nobodys shit overheats and none of us have had tranny issues...BTW its 103 here today..

Maybe maybe not. I never had a issue with transmissions just killing the motor here lately.. but the first one i had i ran for 2 years no problems. just maintained it..

o i have a stupid question but it doesnt make sense to me.....if the clutch is fully disengaged it shouldnt matter what ur idles at when you shift..... does that mean clutches do not fully dissengage?

I think a f4i with a 636 engine rr frontend raised subframe would be fire but if you keep the f4i motor just get it synced advanced timming k&n air filter and all the other mods it would be nice with a good pipe that bike would be the shit
