So my air bag light is on and I'm poor so I'm trying to find a way to wire it up to where the light will come on for 5 seconds then shut off. Anybody a wiring guru that can tell me what kind of resistor or relay I need and how to wire it up? I HAVE to get this rigged so it will pass inspection. I've already replaced everything in the airbag system and the shop says they don't know why it does it. The airbags are new all the sensors are new ive traced every wire and cant find anything wrong withthem. even replaced the airbag computer. But unless I rig this light to shut off after 5 seconds I can't get this thing to pass and that's no good.

I've had it in the shop already they said it doesn't have any codes. They reset the light and it goes off for about 3 days then comes back on.

I'm tired of wasting money at this damned shop. That's why I just wanna rig the bulb to shut off like it's supposed to.

No. The shop said the airbag system has a capacitor to maintain power to the airbag system so they will still work if the power is cut. But they won't tell me how to disconnect it either. And I have pulled every fuse and relay trying to turn the airbag system off completely and still no changes. It's a german spec car and I don't have a repair manual either. It's been a huge fight with this air bag shit. That's why I am just gonna try to wire it up so it appears to be working properly.

Wire the airbag light bulb to a toggle switch, flip to turn it off.

The inspectors actually drive your vehicle here so that won't work....
