So I just read an article on the new Yamaha FZ-09 and have fallen in love with this thing. Been looking to upgrade from the 03-04 636 to maybe an 09 + zx6rr but after seeing this thing I am having second thoughts.
Anyone thinking of taking the same route???? I have some concerns about stunt parts and the throttle by wire setup.

no parts and throttle by wire is a pain in the ass then again i know a few people stunting the 09zx6 and hating it or just running into tons of problems with them. you are better off keeping the bike you have

beautifull machine, anything can be made/changed to make it run good like any other bike. might cost you a bit more tho.

I think they look like a perfect candidate, myself!! I won't get one....but I can't say I didn't think about it after reading the Cycle World article!

that frame looks scary weak, tank looks weird, and the rear seat would need to be re-padded.....other than that it looks sick. wonder if it would have the same wiring issues as the new r6's?

Sometimes its just the challenge! I was thinking the throttle by wire my not be that big of an issue if you go with the same setup as the F4I idle mod. But have the adjuster on the throttle tub housing instead of on the throttle body?
As for the 09+ zx6 my boy (smoothP) has one and had nothing but great thing to say about it. It has a lot to do with the setup, if you do it right the from the start its a solid bike that is really well balanced.
