Anyone know what would cause an 04 636 tank to build pressure in less than 5 min? Doesnt matter if its running or not, my tank builds a good amount of pressure. I checked the vent lines and they are intact and clear of debris as well as my vortex gas cap vent works fine too. Tank has been fine for 2 yrs, until now. Zero leaks also.

Stock Kawi's cry when the sun beats on them to begin with...blow some compressed air up in the vents, maybe you got some chunky bad gas lol

Possibly ethanol gas? I was reading about an issue Ducati was having with their gas tanks building pressure from the ethanol gas change and vapors not leaving the tank. You might want to try Lucas ethanol treatment to see if it helps.
If not, I like Gil's idea.

Doubt it has anything to do with ethanol but bottom line you have pressure buildup that is not being allowed to escape so i would start with blowing out the vent lines with compressed air like Zues said. If those are both clear i would focus on your gas cap its giong to be one or the other or possibly your vent hose is pinched by the engine somewhere and not letting the vapor escape. i know the vortex caps have a very small ball and spring in there to let the vapor escape maybe your spring is shot and sticking i think i have a spair spring and ball if you need i'll just ship to you, let us know what you find.
You and and Jesse gonna make it to NLB again in Nov, Never got a chance to BS with you last time!
