F4i swingarm Blowout at spot pics

The other night my buddy (Chewe on here) swingarm blewout at the spot, nothing crazy either, just working on catching idle. Welds broke on both sides, he said the chain was the only thing holding it together. I Guess these things are getting weak and brittle in their old age. Lol

Aluminum does start to fatigue and stress crack after about 7-10 years of enduring stress, especially cast aluminum. This has been known in the bicycle industry for many years. I guess we'll probably be seeing more of this as time goes on....
