Long story short, a little more than a year ago I was valeting.
Was sitting in a parked car, drunk guy in front of me goes into reverse thinking its in drive and floors it.
The customer's car's (the car i was sitting in PARKED) insurance company is now suing me.
Something along the lines of, when left in my possession no damages, and after relief $2000's worth of damages were made.
The company I worked for and I are being sued.
Anyone have any experiences? One witness saying the guy backed into me, and i'm looking for the police case # right now concerning the guy that hit me and RAN.

I don't think they can sue you directly, the company you were working for should handle it....but if you were parked and there is a police report, it should be cut and dry......I wouldn't stress......fuck them!!

It says that I AND the company I work for are being sued.
The police report was for a hit and run, the original case is for my customer vs drunk guy.
I am like a side case. I'm responsible or her car. I think what has to happen is we (the company and I) sue the drunk guy and end up paying the customer with our earnings? No court date yet, waiting for the civil clerk to call me back.
this was in texas btw.

wish you the best, but you should be 100% fine because you were on the clock and he has to pay insurance for his employees. the only thing you need to worry about now is him FINDING a reason to fire you, then choose to sue you after wards, but then you have a case
