I found a hair Line crack on both motor mounts .. I have a family friend who is been a aluminum welder for ten years who is gonna brace it . I am lookin for different ways u guys have done it or the strongest way to brace tryin to get pics to show thanks

I had a couple reinforced aluminum frames that worked great. But if I were you I would just save up for a steel frame

i would get a steel frame in a heartbeat if i could register it and ride on the street but i think it would be hard in illinois

+100 ive had my frame welded up pretty good on the inside and out and now it keeps trying to find a week point and crack again. ive re fixed it twice and when it gave out last time it also cracked my head. .02

Ya if I had the dough would jump on a steal fram but this guys welding I'n up for free for me so can't complain about that

Go thru the steps and you can. Just call and ask the DMV. Or call a customer chopper shop and see what they do. I'll be making mine street legal in the next month or 2. I'll post up the procedure I had to go thru.

again i dont know y they dont sticky this damn thing but hear is a link to probably the best frame reinforcement for the 636. if you fall short with the straps on the sides it will crack again it needs to be done just like this read post 14
