damn i feel like im even luckier than i thought... i had a lady pull out in front of me and hit me on my bike saturday, all i got was a sprained knee and ankle and some bumps and bruises... i was wearing my helmet and it hit my dampner right on the shield, could of been ugly

man i hear ya , for the first couple of years i wore full gear , back pro, knee pads and helmet....but shit the humidity here in ga is like 90% spring summer & fall so it make 95 degrees feel like 200!
it def a good idea to wear a full shield ,Im just hardheaded and I swear i cant move around doin combos 0's with a lid like i can without one

Wow that leg looks painful as does the headwound. I've always been glad that when I go down I'm usually full gear or its minor rash.

Helmets dont mess with your vision enough to make any difference at all according to statistics over years and years and years and years and years and years of research. Yes I am a gear nazi, whatever Im just trying to help people stay alive because it pisses me off when ppl dont wear helmets when clearly your just asking to die when its your time to take a spill.

ill tell u what man, i alwasy wear my lid and gloves, now ive ordered the shift shoes, gonna wear my knee shins always cus this leg injury has sucked balls, i wish there was a support i could use for my legs so the dont bust in half again

I once knew someone who was leaving a resturant one day(not a stunter and not a crazy rider or anything). . .leaving the parking lot, it was dark, and while barely accelerating out of a corner intersection, he hit a sand patch, the bike came out from under him and basically whip lashed his head on a curb. He was going less than 10mph and died on impact because of no helmet.
If he had been wearing a helmet obviously he would've came away with MAYBE a bad headache and thats all. Dont be a squid. Wear a lid. That is all.

statistics dont mean dick, do a circle set with your lid on then take it off and do the same thing, helmets definatley give you less perifrial vision, its just something you deal with to keep your brains in your head
