thinking of updating my still and video camera gear. currently I have the Original Canon EOS Rebel for still pics and shoot vid with a Sony VX-2000.
I've been looking at the Canon Rebel T2i for stills and HD video. Anyone have any experience with these? Curious if the lenses I have for my EOS Rebel will be compatible with the T2i?

i sent nags a PM last night asking about a nikon d3100 or a canon t2i..still waiting on a response...i want to upgrade to a better camera

yup. I'm not all that impressed with most of the HD Video cams on the market. All the pro-sumer cams are more than I wanna fork out for a new video camera. Thinking the T2i is the way to go.

u got the d3100?!?!?!?!?!?! shoulda looked into the d5100. it has the same video as the d7000 just lil less fancy body

that will be $200 more and im still new to this, so i figured the d3100 was perfect for me...i've been on google and youtube all morning looking at videos and reading reviews, i havent seen a bad enough review yet to make me change my mind...im trading in the other camera with b&h and getting a refurbished d3100...yes iknow im cheap but hell, im broke as shit right now
