Like my "opinion" or not, rivet is the correct way to go, but clilpstyle is a lot easier to do, and 99.9% as dependable.

I agree totally, but they are safety wired always. Race guys use them a lot because they are changing gearing/chains more often than most guys doing a chain/sprocket set every 2 or three years, and stockers will last 20-30k give or take a few miles.

I guess I don't understand what's so compelling about your argument then? You even admitted that they work 99.9% of the time, but you wouldn't use one? So does that mean you are saying that rivet style clips work 99.99999% of the time or something?

That's because you have some ego driven sence of self entitlement, if you watch the new stuntbums vid titled lotwars you can see me working on someones bike. In fact several riders from all over the us that weekend paid money to have me work on there bike. Im known here for working and building bikes, just because you can change oil and spark plus for $9 an hour suddenly your mind believes your jesse james.

just because you work on stunt bikes doesnt mean you really know much about bikes in general, just saying.. considering most stunt bikes are put together with zip ties and duct tape.. this argument here is completely pointless, and im surprised that this many of you guys really believe that clip style is stronger than rivets.. granted you worked at honda during college, that makes me believe that you were most likely a bike porter. rivet>clip, end of story, no doubt about it.. half of you just dont know how to put a rivet on a chain so you will just rock clip style.. i dont really care, ive seen first hand peoples bikes get fucked up from a perfectly installed clip style chain.. would i put a clip on a 1000 or a stunt bike.. FUCK NO...Do i really give a shit if you put a clip link on your bike FUCK NO...

I dont give a shit if you worked on Valentino Rossi's bike. If you dont know what your doing thats fine, just dont try and pass off like your a lead tech. Your the kind of dumbass that would try to do a valve adjustment on a friends bike, and end up bringing it to a shop in a box to have them put it back together for you. Why not pick up a book and try to learn something. Most of us out there werent born with your expert bike "building skills" and all the experience to back it up.
