extended van or regular size van???? extended would allow for build out of futon/bed/extra row of seating, but makes for a LONG ass van
any opinions?? sleep area important or no?

Do some measurements, on a standard length you may be able to put the bike stands and leave a area to build a sleep area for one person. I have the extended with more then enough room I could have moved my seat further forward if I wanted. If you want I'll measure from my stands to rear door for you so you have a idea.

My van from my stands to the back door is 7ft, and I have more them enough room I have had a hayabusa back there.
Standard length van it has a partition behind the back seats so I measured from that and it is 9ft so you will have around a 3 foot buffer between the front of the bikes and front seats.

I forgot I did some shows with Tony Carbajal he has a standard length Chevy van with a back seat not a bed but if you are looking for just a place to rest while someone is driving i think a standard would be fine for your needs.

do ye guys get mercedes sprinters or the likes over there. great van and very popular in europe with stunters/racers. there very high so the popular mod is to put enough space for 2 bikes and and gear in the back and but a bed platform on top with space for large bed. So you can convert rest to a campervan. Cheap to run also.
The space underneath is for bikes etc and thats the bed above then
