forget my previous post ... I think that what he ment by pressure will build up if you tak out the reeds is because the reeds works like a one way valve ... so they are there to stop the pressure of going the wrong way ... I don\'t know how that system works but anyways ... haha

\r\n \r\n like franswa said the reed valves are like one way doors so they allow the exhaust to create suction but dont allow any pressure from the exhaust ..

\nwith the reed valves you get a scavenging effect from the exhaust\r\n

ya you can even put it up top by the valve cover if you want\r\n

\r\n \r\n if you dont have the reeds you might as well just cap those ports and just run a vent for the crank case but if you can find the reeds you took out you actually gain pull on idle with them in ..\r\n

show me a pic of a good crank case vent and ill cap those suckers so quick..i hate havin all that hose running around. that would fre up so much more room for activities!\r\n

So I hook #1 and #2 to a T and then ran a hose back to the crankcase. I then reinstalled the airbox and gas tank, my battery was dead so I put it on charge, then when I went back to try and start it the bike now has the engine light on and code 14 is diplayed. The bike trys to start but wont stay running. Almost sounds like is it only running on 2 cylinders? How do I fix this and what could be the problem?

code 14 on an 03/04 r6 is intake air pressure sensor open or shorted. service manual says bike should still start run and ride with this code.

\r\n \r\n Anyone else having troubles getting there airbox to sit right... i dont see anything in the way the only thing i can think or is my heat shield didnt go in right, does it go above or below the T i put it above but it doesnt seem like theres room but it doesnt touch the T or hoses

I know I know, There are hundreds of threads on here about the kleen air mod for the 03 R6. I'm a little confused tho. It seems that some of them contradict each other. Some are for racing and some say stunting but there are errors all over them. Does anyone have a clear and easy step by step with pics of how tot do the kleen air mod (for Stunting to prevent hydro locking the motor) for the 03 R6.
Not trying to beat a dead horse just trying to get some clearification. some say block offs and others say a T conector.... HELP
