Thanks for the tips. I actually had a hell of a time getting the air box on, turns out the screws were a little tight. I was certain they were all on right, but I guess I'll have to check again. It almost seems like it isn't getting any air... maybe I put too much oil on the filter? The tank is a pain to get on and off though because apparently my subframe is slightly tweaked so the back bracket for it is a little off, and THAT means I'll have to get a new subframe before I make one

Hey, I might take you up on that offer
If you don't have a steel subframe I'd make one for you in return.
I got it all running today
I ripped out the exhaust valve and sure enough it had a stripped gear... I'll probably just leave it out and make up one of those circuit thingies to fool the computer so I don't always have the FI light on. It still had a running problem when I started it this morning. It actually started right up but when I revved it it would studder and then when it dropped back to idle it would stall. Then I got the idea that it might be the power commander III the PO had in it. It might have been tuned for the bike when it had the other silencer installed. So I downloaded the control panel application and the map for a stock bike... then figured out what pins to put 9V to to get it in communication mode, and downloaded the map... It didn't seem to change much so I decided to take it for a spin up and down the runway. Whatever it was is gone now, I also turned the idle up a little to about 1.5-2k and that seemed to help.
Then I went for a ride and showed it off to all my friends
Froze my ass off because it's only like 50 today, but totally worth it! I also broke 100 for my first time on two wheels!
I'll get some pictures of the completed bike up in a little bit.

Did u stamp ur vin into the new frame ? Legally of course lol
And are u just leavin that frame primer for now or doin some powder ?

Just primer for the shakedown, I'll powder it eventually though.
No VIN or anything yet, I need to setup an appointment with the motor vehicle investigator to get it inspected and get a VIN

Or it's easy enough to measure the resistance the ECU is looking for and make one. I made one a year or so back. This time around I got lazy and bought a pre-made one.
Awesome work!!!! I'm just about done with my 636. I added a bunch of frame gussets versus making a frame. I wanted to see how long it would last.

you can load maps onto the power commander while it is running. no need to hook 9v battery up to it.

I ripped that thing out and got a ton more bottom end. I might put it back in when I can actually tune it, or just sell it to help fund my handbrake setup.
