nate this is a good thread-
When I first was looking at handbrakes i bought a 13mm billet magura thinking it was the "best" setup. With it setup on a 4 piston caliper is was touchy! It had tons of strength though.
When I changed to a Stock R6 master, I instantly improved my HB tricks- just the way nate describes knowing where lockup is made it easier to learn.

Stock R6 brembo masters all around on my bike. Love those things for front and single 4 piston hb!

You guys are mentioning the stock R6 master but what size is that master and which years of the R6 are you referring to?

thanks for all the help just actually going to setup handbrake on my f4i running a 4 piston for hb and single piston for foot brake any recommendations or suggestions? Skill level just starting to learn idle wheelies, stunt noob lol

Keep running the footbrake until you got atleast idle and maybe coasters on lock
I've only tried cbr1000rr m/c on four piston calipers but atleast I like the feeling they have

^^^ not what he was asking lol I would grab what ever you can get cheap you might ruin your first master I ran a r1/r6 brembo like the ones they were talking about but now run a magura but still go with whatever is cheapest also figure the cost of replacement levers. Stock eBay(China) type levers are like $12 magura and brembo levers are $$$ just something to think about

But yeah, a cheap master is good to start with
