anyone ever try to fit a 05/06 pump in an 03/04 tank?

Probably not

Everytime Pete gets close to finishing his bike he comes up with more convoluted plans!
You will never ride that thing...

Oh, and this swap is very doable.
(maybe a year ago I told someone it wasn't worth the trouble. This is me eating my words)

I still think its just a better idea to fit the 05 wheels, swing arm and forks into an 03

I'm gonna ask a real dumb but obvious question to me. Why didn't you just take the tbody/velocity stacks out of the 05-06 air box and put them in the 03-04 air box eliminating the 03-04 tbodies all together and eliminating your single dual rail problem?

theoretically, you could run the 05/06 motor with 03/04 zx6r injectors. un-plugging 05/06 secondary injectors does not throw a code, and they are secondary injectors, they dont work untill 7k rpm and they are only 3 hole I believe.

you would most likely need a pc3 and a complete tune.

+1 The few rr's that I've had the tank off of do in fact have the second set of injectors.

Very cool... I think i'm going to do this method as I am not a fan of the second set of injectors. I think it makes the bike less smooth. But, what the hell do i know.
