2)no one individual is on the financial or legal hook; creating a nice legal firewall for shady operations. if BP were owned by a single person, he'd be in jail; as would the owners of Goldman Sachs and Meryl Lynch
A coporation could care less about anything other than keeping stock values high. Why don't we get rid of child labor laws? they just inhibit hiring employees with longevity right?
