Proper chain slack, and chain maintanece

Whats the perfect amount of slack in the chain cuz I heard its suppose to be pretty loose, like ur suppose to be able to pull the bottom chain down 3-4 widths of a chain? Also should I remove the grease the chain came with from factory and put my belray chain lube or just put it on top of factory…

i lube mine up after everytime i wash it. once every couple weeks if i didnt ride in the rain. use a good grease that doesnt break down as easy and you should be fine.
