Tips to quiet down exhaust?

yea 762 thats what im thinkin, just gotta come up with a quiet core insert and ill find a way to get it mounted inside my pipe. my pipe had that steel wool looking shit wrapped around the center piece i think its to protect the packing from burning out but not sure if thats what keepin the sound so tight and loud or what
