hope thats a drag car,a 750+ carb with mechanical secondaries gets horrible gas milage. my 90LX runs low 12s on the motor, never ran it at the track with the 175shot,but probably would dip in the 10s and get about 18mpg

They do, a 350 or any Chevy motor is way cheaper to build. He's hoping very low 10's high 9's on motor and then he's thinking about a 200 shot of nitrous so who knows. He's getting a tranny with a transbrake and already has alot of suspension work done to it. If he can get it to hook up it should run real good.

+1 I've built three 5.0 cars in my day, and they're pricey compared to Chevy, even if you abandon FI in favor of a carb. Still not as bad as a Chrysler/Dodge motor though. They're the most expensive domestic motors to build.

if your comparing a FI ford to a carbed chevy, than yes thats true, but a FI ford vs. FI chevy, fords way cheaper and has more bang for the buck.
Ive had a 65 and 90 mustang and a 67 and 95 camaro, so I speak with experience.

we did a mild timing and boost to break everything in. it was a daily driver street car. only had it for a few months and sold it to a guy in michigan. it was fun on the street. was around 550 rwhp and 600 ftlbs torque. the guy wanted to buy it and we never got to push it on the dyno to see what it would really put out after everything was good to go.
