not quite sure what you mean by step down onto it? He was standing up on it last night and it cleared the plastic on all sides and only flexed the plate a little bit, but it rests up against the rear seat when usuing it. you can still take the rear seat on and off...tho its a tricky but do-able lol.

On the front seat backsides the tails aren't that strong kinda hook underneath the seat

the front tabs on his tail sides are missing the push pins that hold them to the subframe so those pop out all the time anyways. He keeps his feet right over the rear seat so they don't get near the tail sides, this just gives him a stronger platform to stand on and a little more room, and at the same time keeping the stock slender/sleek look. Im powdercoating it tomorrow at work and then he's putting some surf pad on it.
