ISOHunt isn't really a "site for free software", as you can't just download the software from the site. It just provides the torrent file to download them externally.
Though I will agree, torrents are the best way to go. I torrent lots of stuff, but I mostly use private trackers, but I get my music from http://thepiratebay.org
I'd say piratebay is the best public tracker out there.

i cant wait till demonoid comes back but until then http://www.torrentpond.com/torrent_search.aspx works. private trackers are the onlyway to go though. what trackers are you a member of sincal?

I get like 4Mbs on downloads from most private trackers, rarely get them from public ones...
