OK heres the deal.. We all hear the most idiotic stuff from people who know nothing about the sport. I always get a chuckle out of it. It definatley repeats and is the same at any show or comp. What haved you guys heard? Ill start a couple common ones.
I just picked up this 2001 xr50 today, im stoked. I wanna go through it and do all the necessary mods so i can stunt it and pretty much pimp it out overall. I'm only working with about 150 dollars...maybe a little more so im trying to keep it cheap. I really want to stunt this thing so i can move onto my F4i and not mess it up to much........its got BBR triples/riser....BBR forks, a rear handbrake(no footbrake kinda bummed), an ?Ishock?. Its also got a couple rust spots on the swingarm and the pipe and the shock is squeeky....the front brakes suck on this thing. I am definetly getting a new pipe for it but what else should i get. I am thinking about going through and cleaning the carbs and painting the swingarm and frame but i have never dont anythign like that (also how should i remove the rust? Any good tutorials out there for any of that? Also need to swap out the spark plugs.......I'm on a tight budget so this is what i'm thinking......clutch kit, stunt pegs, street tires, 12 bar, new exhaust, some sort of front brake upgrade? Let me know if you suggest anything else or have something for sale, i wanna be rolling stoppies and highchair wheelies all day.

I know I know.... flat. I may be coming up on a BUNCH of land. A bunch of land + moving my bidness on to this land means I'm gonna need a lot. If I wanted to have some shows and contests How big of a lot? I was thinking a rectangle instead of a square. Any ideas?

I'm getting a damn good deal on it so im deff getting it up what do you think i need to do to get this thing going? I was thinking swap the spark plug....change the gas and possibly oil? Idk What do you guys think could be going on with it. Also I wanna stunt the shit outta this thing so what do you guys suggest. Its got a clutch, BBR bars and riser, 88cc kit, upgraded shock idk what kind. What else should i slap on it......i am getting pegs for sure but what brand? anything else you guys suggest.......im thinkin a HB set up as well so again what brand? If anyone has some stunt parts for a good deal let me know i will take em off your hands.
below is a picture that explains why i only sell folding peg subcages
if you look close you can see that the tabs were ripped right off this subframe and that is what can happen if the pegs on your subcage are solid ...folding pegs are the way to go
