Long story short my 2001 f4i wouldn't start ... a month and multiple purchases later, I found the problem and wouldn't have had to buy anything... here's the steps I went through hopefully this will help someone in the future with a similar issue. <img src="images/legacy/smilies/cheers.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Cheers" class="inlineimg" /><br />
<br />
<ol style="list-style-type: decimal"><li>Was getting no fuel pump but after hot wiring it... it turned right on.</li>
<li>No headlights but after testing... they had power but bad ground</li>
<li>Strangeness... With the brights off... the engine kill switch would turn the brights indicator (on the speedo) on and off.</li>
<li>Checked all fuses and none were blown</li>
<li>Researched and saw the ignition switches on the f4i's go bad... so I bought and replaced ignition key switch... still broken. <img src="images/legacy/smilies/mad.gif" border="0" alt="" title="mad" class="inlineimg" /></li>
<li>Found a whole new wiring harness on ebay (with relays for about the same cost as just purchasing new relays) and before replacing the whole harness I swapped out the relays (there are two in the tail section and one underneath the airbox)... still broken. <img src="images/legacy/smilies/mad.gif" border="0" alt="" title="mad" class="inlineimg" /></li>
<li>Went to the stunt spot pulled a ECU off a friends bike and swapped it to test ... still broken. <img src="images/legacy/smilies/mad.gif" border="0" alt="" title="mad" class="inlineimg" /></li>
<li>Decided it was time to replace the harness... <img src="images/legacy/smilies/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Banghead" class="inlineimg" /> ... cranked some tunes in the garage... stripped the bike and started pulling apart the harness.</li>
<li>Pulled apart molex connectors and as I pulled a white molex apart under the airbox a piece of plastic came out... <img src="images/legacy/smilies/idea.gif" border="0" alt="" title="idea" class="inlineimg" /> I inspected it and sure enough connection in that molex was broken and bad ... (Green wire which was a ground).</li>
<li>Soldered the green wire together outside the molex... electrical taped it... FIXT!!! <img src="images/legacy/smilies/laughbounce2.gif" border="0" alt="" title="laughbounce2" class="inlineimg" /><img src="images/legacy/smilies/laughbounce2.gif" border="0" alt="" title="laughbounce2" class="inlineimg" /><img src="images/legacy/smilies/laughbounce2.gif" border="0" alt="" title="laughbounce2" class="inlineimg" /></li>

i got my Impaktech Cage couple days ago, it looks super sick. Red Pwdrcoated.<br />

i cant wait to get it on. the issue im having is, it didnt come with any instructions at all. i cant find any install video either. how hard is it to put in a piece of paper stating what to do.. <br />

well i cant figure out where the spacers go. there are two big spacers and two smaller ones.. there are three mounting points each side. <br />
1. near the rearsets, the bolt goes into the subframe.<br />
2. in the middle, in the motor?<br />
3. in the frame?<br />

now which spacer goes where? <br />

the spacer has to go between the cage and frame?<br />
or the frame and the nut?<br />
or the cage and the nut?<br />
