$70 big rotor kit
Posted by: jaco - 11-18-2011, 09:34 PM - Forum: Help and How To - Replies (19)

Thought Id share the idea, maybe someone is going to find is useful. It's a front 03-04 636 rotor (280mm) w the inside cut out and bolted to a bracket my friend made (Ill post a pic of just the bracket if someone wants me to). Its bolted by 14 bolts w the thread lock and an extra nut on the other side so I don't think its gettin loose. I rode 3 times already tryin to abuse the shit out of it and everything works great. The whole thing cost me $70 (bracket was 40) and it works a LOT better than stock dual cal hohey thing. The rotor was cut on the lathe.

Heres some pics
So I've put my bike through complete hell the past couple years after shows, comps, practice the list can go on lol A few months ago before the season was over I ended up riding my bike over to a scrap metal company and weighed my bike. Full fluid and 2 gallons of gas it was sitting at 448 pounds!!!! Decided this winter build I'm going to try and shave around 50 pounds off this beast, and make it just a better all around bike. here she is
