I just bought a 1999 oldmobile alero and got a few minor issues. So far 2day when i went to turn her on she starts no problem, then within 10secs..she shuts off. Then again she did the same thing when i went to put her into drive<img src="images/legacy/smilies/shruggs.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Shruggs" class="inlineimg" /><br />

Now the check engine light is on and i went to Autozone to do the computer checkto get the code for why the light is on and its a bad cat. converter. Would that make the car shut off?<br />

also, when going about 60+ she shakes a little bt and b4 i bought her i was told she needs an alignment, would that cause her to shake<img src="images/legacy/smilies/shruggs.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Shruggs" class="inlineimg" /><br />

thanks for any input. Im car friendly anything 90 and older, these newish cars puzzle me
