I don't understand how I can go from riding idle one evening to, what it feels like not even able to pick the front tire up. I think I'm doing everything the same. So, frustrated to say the least. Anyone else experience this?

I just read the stickied thread above and it doesn't really seem to match the title... seems more like a product ad thread than a set up recommendation

Anyway, here's my list of recommendations:

A good soft compound front tire

A good chain and sprockets, preferably larger than stock

An easy pull clutch lever

Good set of stock rear brake pads (OEM preferred)

High quality, high temperature brake fluid

Crash Cage

12 bar

Increase rebound on forks (turn hex on top of forks clockwise - make sure both sides are even)

Set dampening on front forks and rear shock to 90% hard (all the way and then back off a little - there are two adjustments - one on top and one at the bottom of each shock)

Idle adjuster

Shorter or shortened exhaust for bikes without undertail exhaust

Bypass the tip-over sensor

Do the PAIR mod

Oli pickup mod if available

Overfill your oil some...usually to the top of the site glass

Replace coolant with Evans, Liquid Performance or Engine Ice

Wire cooling fan to turn on with ignition or to a switch

Hand brake system

Aftermarket upper stay (if full fairing)

Aftermarket clip ons, turn out clip ons, flip clip ons, or add dirtbike bars

Billet rearsets are much stronger and less likely to break

Steel Braided front brake lines

Steering Stabilizeer

Dented Gas Tank with some sort of traction

Replace fork springs with stiffer spring rate and/or heavier weight fork fluid and/or revalve forks

Add a subcage/subframe reinforcement

Add pegs to front and rear axles

Adjustable levers

| F4I bog (fuel pump) |

So my bike used to run with a strong idle.

One day i ran it until it completely ran out of gas (disconnected gauges)

ever since then it would bog 85% of the time while riding.

just cruising around the lot on idle it would get really jerky, like it had the power cut on and off.

and now when it;s just sitting there, the idle fluctuates.

swapped tanks with a friend, and my bike runs awesome.

new fuel filter or new fuel pump? can i clean out anything or does it need replacing?

even with the new gas tank, theres a teeeny tiny bit of fluctuation on the idle. tb sync or fuel pressure regulator?

oh and do tanks leak at the fuel pump mount often? my rubber gasket seems a little thin and the guy before me covered the seal with some orange silicony stuff.
