Any advice is welcomed. I'm not too nervous about it, but I'm not 100% sure on what to expect.

Only thing that I'm nervous about is getting denied, cause I don't have a plan B.

 Cage for war!
Posted by: monsterzx9 - 06-03-2012, 02:18 AM - Forum: Help and How To - Replies (19)

I am at it again. My snuggie bike was dying a slow painful death, so instead of patching it up I decided to go for a rebuild. I am starting with my cage. If you recall I built my current cage using lightweight square tubing. It was a last min. effort to start riding my new bike. I figured it to last a month, but I would have been happy for a day. After 4 months of beating it to hell trying to learn circles, I am stoked to report that it only has one part in need of repair. I have decided to wipe my mind of any paradigms I may have about cages, and look at it from a different angle. This is what I have come up with...

Most of the cages I see now are super strong very high-tech and for the most part well manufactured. They also cost a shit load of doll hairs. My new cage isn't for the pros that already have everything and an iron man. This cage is for the guy keeps breaking shitty parts. If your outfitting a virgin bike you will need a cage, and, 12 bar, if your a bigger fellow you will also need a sub-cage. I have designed and started fabrication of a steel exo-skeleton. This cage replaces both passenger brackets and pegs. It replaces the rearsets with 1/4" cross braced plate steel. It's main job is that of any cage, to protect the motor and frame. This shares the load of multiple impacts scenarios over an arsenal of mounting points. Not to mention it acts as a sub cage brace that has an integrated 12 bar. I will be posting pics of this build as I go. Tonight I built the right side mounting plate. It uses the swingarm pivot bolt as a mounting point, both rearset bolt holes and both sub-frame holes. Everything will be built from this plate. The subcage and 12 bar will be tied to the cross brace between the rearsets and the plate triangulating the enitre rear half of the bike.

SHITTT!

My phone went dead tonight so no pics today I will be sure to snap some on monday!

Alternative/ Improvement to a wrap. Hydrographics!

Thinking about hitting up a local company here to get some custom graphic work on my fairings done next year.

Lee started this company up about a year ago and since then it has skyrocketed off the ground. Can do just about anything, his showroom in his shop is filled with tons of stuff from fairings to swingarms to car wheels to x box controllers, all sorts of things.

Check it out, pretty interesting concept and results.

Here is a chopper fender he recently did
Im 17 and want to be up front throwing down spreaders with the best of them at the ROC some day.

- im still young so I got time to practice
- Ive had an xr70 yz80 crf150r cr125 klx110 and 03/636
No parent wants their kid to get a rice burner, but I paid for the bike insurance and licence course.
-I wanted to get into the wheelies right away but waited 3 weeks before attempting (some magical will power idk how i did that) but anyways
3 weeks in I was leaving boston heading back to cape cod, when two kids were taunting me saying you suck blah blah blah.
-Went for the rolling burnout 1st time grabbed some front brake to slow it down then (raaauuuuwwwww) sliped out to low side.
Ya i sucked is what i felt
The next day though I went for the wheelie because i finally felt the concreate. Now first attempt i got 1/2 a telephone pole down by the the 5th try 1 and 1/2. But I cut that for the day
The next day I stood on the seat and was picking up the stunt stuff fast, it kinda of scared me because there is all kinds of storys of new riders killing themselves before they can even get good.
-Also im having a hard time trying to find people to ride with Most guys with sport bike seem to be about the show of having one. Or their 28 and have skills but they dont want to ride with me because im a 17 year old dink haha.
- The kids who are my age on sport bikes suck and have the fatest chicken strips
- And my real riding budys havn't made the jump to sport bikes , their still on rm250's and cr250's 2 stroke for lifeeeeeee until i got a 4 cylinder.

-Thanks for reading I know its long my first post on zx6r forums was to short and shitty

btw my fist name is actually Wilder
