05 06 636 Big rotor adapters
Posted by: 762SPR - 09-20-2012, 03:15 AM - Forum: Stunt Companies - Replies (39)

OK, hot off the mill! I've made 10 big rotor adapters for anyone that wants them. These will allow you to run '08-'10 (may be until current, I'm not sure) Hayabusa rotors on the back of your 636.

If you are running radial calipers, you should be able to use these with some spacers and possibly longer bolts because the rotor is mounted at the same offset from the center of the wheel as stock. I can make spacers for anyone that needs them and ship them with the adapter.

You have a choice of standard finish (pictured) or bead blasted for a more matte finish.

Rotor adapters are $100 shipped to the US. I can ship overseas, but it might cost extra. Send me a PM for payment info. The first two people to claim one on here get them for $75.

I'll also make you a set of aluminum spacers for $15

I should be able to ship them in the next day or two, I just need to pick up the hardware to bolt the busa rotor to the adapter. The adapter will be bolted to the hub using the stock hardware.

 Next generation stunt part research
Posted by: ~03~raven - 09-20-2012, 02:21 AM - Forum: Stunt Discussion - Replies (25)

Ok so I got a good, close friend of mine who's been starting up a company. The company will do much more than just stunt parts however he's always been a street rider and wants to try and do some innovative things with the stunt world since he's always been a guy true to his roots and can't live without rocking it on one.

Anyways. He's about to start building some half frames and such and we've tossed around some ideas going on his metal working knowledge and what I've caught on here. So what I am doing to help him is get more info from you the riders. The guys who use and abuse this stuff daily, from all different skill levels. Now he realizes most stunters don't have deep pockets. But he through his metal working experience, he knows there are better options for some parts other than steel.

Right now he's about to build a half frame out of chromoly. He wants to get feedback on chromoly and Al parts. He's wanting to start building instead of steel parts, lighter parts that have the same integrity. Like, what parts would you like to see with similar strength, that are lighter, for comparable costs(I know RSC has the Al subframes now, but what else?). Because of supply and demand and his current position he's saying those materials he can get for the same or less than what it would cost for steel.

If you want to see examples of his beads I can get some pics. If you have any wants, or desires for stunt parts just post up that way he can look and see what's possible.

Or if you got an idea you want to come to life and want to talk to him directly about it, hit him up here. http://www.facebook.com/ShiftyWorks

 MTX subwoofer/amp combo issue
Posted by: Graveyard - 09-19-2012, 11:06 PM - Forum: Automotive - Replies (15)

So i was curious a few years back i put this single 10" MTX enclosure and amp combp in my wifes car and haven't had any issues with it till recently. actually i don't even know if its an issue yet. basically it came as a set from MTX so you would assume its compatable. Basically i put it in the car over 3 months ago with no issues til now somthing has been drawing power from the battery and kills it. It happened today and my wife had to get the car jumped at school. When she got home i checked the battery and it had 12.59V and when its running its showing just over 14v so that tells me its getting charged so i'm assuming that something is drawing power while its sitting so naturally i assume its the sub/amp or CD player. only thing i noticed was that the Amp was really hot to hot to touch so i'm wondering if anyone with extensive knowledge on amps and subs could chime in and give me some advice. The amp has a power light on it when its on and that not lite up when the car is off. Any help/advice would be awesome! i'm a novice at best when it comes to this stuff.
